RecordPoint surpasses 15 million data transactions per day as corporate AI adoption surges
RecordPoint is now processing more than 15 million data transactions per day, an increase of 9 million of world’s most critical data protected everyday within the past six months.
The figures reflect the rapid acceleration in how organizations are leveraging its technology to both maximise the value of their data and safely embrace emerging generative AI tools.
Over 150 critical enterprise data heavy companies globally use RecordPoint to gain control of complex, distributed data environments, with nearly 4 billion records now managed across its platform.
Its major clients include the City of New York, Cupertino Electric and Delaware Life, underscoring the company’s credibility in high-stakes data environments. The platform is also leveraged by Australia’s largest banks — Westpac, NAB and Macquarie — as well as critical regulatory bodies such as APRA and ASIC, where robust, auditable data practices are essential.
In 2025, RecordPoint customers have defensibly disposed of 159 million records, eliminating unnecessary data and helping to reduce the possibilities of risking stakeholders’ private critical data.
That activity has translated into an estimated $795 million in storage cost savings, $4.6 million in search efficiency gains, and $3.6 million in compliance risk avoided, demonstrating the financial upside of effective data lifecycle management.
RecordPoint CEO Anthony Woodward said the rise of AI tools is a major driver of the surge in data transactions.
“Initially, RecordPoint’s technology was focused on securing data in organisations, with cybersecurity and compliance as the main motivators for staying on top of it.” Woodward said.
“While that’s still the case, corporate and government adoption of AI technologies has seen companies come to us with a new challenge in mind: organising their data in a way that helps them get the best out of AI.”
“This continues to be the missing piece of the puzzle for many organisations, and one of the key reasons we aren’t seeing more from the AI revolution. That’s especially the case in Australia, where we’ve seen significant investment but little in the way of productivity gains.”
“AI runs on discernible, organized data. Without this, it’s effectively running blind. Even the most well-intentioned agentic solution can’t fully automate workflows if the underlying data isn’t governed properly.”
The announcement caps off a momentous 12 months for RecordPoint. In addition to several major hires bolstering its leadership team, the company recently announced that over 80% of Victorian government departments now use its technology to manage and control their information.
RecordPoint also recently launched a new free tool to help startups and small businesses manage their data, as well as the October acquisition of Redactive, a permissions assurance platform helping enterprise organisations reduce inadvertent data sharing.
Woodward added: “In 2026, our focus is on enabling safe, governed AI: trustworthy data, transparent policies, and guardrails that help teams ship useful models responsibly.”
“It wasn’t long ago that we were championing 6 million data transactions per day on our platform. It is difficult to predict where this figure will end up by 2027, but it will exponentially more.”
“But, the rate of growth will be indicative of companies getting on top of their data in order to get the most out of any AI they plan to use in the years ahead.”
