RecordPoint claims place in the 2025 Smart50 List
RecordPoint has been ranked #43 in the2025 Smart50 Awards, recognizing Australia’s fastest-growing enterprises.
The Smart50 list—run annually by Smart Company—highlights the 50 independent Australian businesses achieving the strongest three-year revenue growth.
RecordPoint’s inclusion reflects the company’s sustained global momentum as it processes around 8 million data transactions per day — more than the NASDAQ —and helps some of the world’s most heavily regulated organizations discover, classify and control their data.
Its customers include Westpac, NAB, Macquarie, Insignia Financial, and government bodies such as APRA, ASIC and the City of New York.
“We’re honoured to be recognized in this year’s Smart50,” Anthony Woodward, CEO of RecordPoint said. “Our growth to date is a direct result of the fact that managing data effectively is the first step toward meaningful, trustworthy adoption of AI.”
“RecordPoint gives organizations the foundation they need: clean, controlled, governed information, before they start asking AI to make decisions. This recognition signals that our mission is resonating globally, and that we’re scaling responsibly during a critical moment for data governance.”
RecordPoint’s momentum aligns with a broader industry shift: as organizations grapple with fragmented data environments, growing privacy requirements and increasing cyber risk, demand for defensible, federated data governance continues to accelerate.
Looking ahead, RecordPoint will focus on:
- Expanding across Europe and Asia, building on customer traction in North America and Australia.
- Advancing its AI-driven classification and analytics capabilities, enabling automated risk detection, policy enforcement and defensible disposal.
- Doubling its US presence and expanding its global team to support regulated industries modernising their governance frameworks.
The news follows the appointment of RecordPoint’s first Chief Operating Officer, Brett Hooker. It also recently acquired Redactive, a fast-growing Australian AI startup specialising insensitive data discovery and classification. The acquisition significantly strengthens RecordPoint’s AI capabilities and positions the company to better support organizations seeking secure, ethical AI adoption.
RecordPoint has also launched new products to help businesses navigate the evolving risks of unregulated AI usage. RexCommand, a freemium shadow AI detection tool, was introduced to help enterprises identify unauthorized AI tools being used within their workforce
