FILED Talks:

Boards are asking if AI rollouts running on data they can stand behind, and regulators now expecting proof of control rather than a written policy. But most AI governance focuses on the model and ignores the data underneath it.

‍

RecordPoint Chief Technology Officer Josh Mason and CEO Anthony Woodward talk through what AI data readiness actually looks like and what it takes to get there. And it starts with asking three questions:

‍

1. Can you name and locate every system holding data?

2. Is every dataset classified, and is that classification enforced at the point of AI access?

3. Can you produce, on demand, proof of the data an AI system can reach?

Building on years of expertise in data and Records Management, Anthony and Josh lay out the path to AI-data readiness in three stages: knowing what data you have, governing data to control access from people and AI agents alike, and proving that control to regulators, auditors, and the board on demand.

‍

Together they'll hit on how to unlock data readiness across all three stages without migrating data, preparing your entire data estate to reduce compliance and security risks, and how to control and monitor access by human and non-human entities.
