Update: We are delighted to announce that Fife Council have been awarded the IRMS Award for Team of the Year which was announced on 22 May at the IRMS Annual Conference. This is recognition for all the hard work that resulted in this innovative solution.
Congratulations to the Fife Team!
RecordPoint is pleased to be a sponsor of IRMS 2017 and proud supporter of the work Fife Council has done to transform their archives process.
Fife Council has been nominated “Team of the Year” for 2017 IRMS Awards tonight. As a RecordPoint customer for the past few years, Fife Council turned its sights to transform their paper archive processes.
As taken from the awards submission –
18,000 excellent reasons to build a centralised archive!
Picture the scene — multiple locations, damp conditions, less-than-perfect security, 18,000 archive boxes holding records which are difficult to find and retrieve, numerous naming and labeling conventions, no global overview, and many hours of many employees spent trying to track, manage and dispose of files. Now, one year on — step into a very different scenario!
A purpose-built, secure, centralised archive with sturdy, new racking from floor to ceiling. Consistent environmental conditions that would suit most penguins, and an advanced fire-suppression system.
Capacity to hold over 19,000 archive boxes. Barcodes, standardised labels, fully integrated corporate EDRMS for digital and paper records, file tracking functionality, easy retrieval of boxes and improved access to files and robust security controls The Archive has been an enabler for the closure of a number of archive buildings (cost savings!).
This project team has delivered a record managers dream!
We are proud of the work Fife Council has done, and to be a part of their successes. RecordPoint will be at IRMS in booth #1 and have copies of the case study highlighting Fife Council’s tremendous success.
We look forward to having a terrific event!
